From 6 Years on the Streets to Permanent Housing: U.S. Army Veteran Becomes Victorville Wellness Center’s 300th Graduate 🎖️️🏠
A powerful milestone in the High Desert! The Victorville Wellness Center has officially celebrated its 300th client graduating into permanent housing, marking a life-changing turning point for Justin D., an honorable U.S. Army veteran who dedicated 12 years of service to his country.
After suffering severe injuries in a civilian accident following his service—leading to multiple organ removals and mounting medical debt—Justin spent nearly six years homeless, surviving on the streets and couch surfing.
His path to stability changed when he entered the Victorville Wellness Center:
• Milestone 300: Justin’s transition marks the 300th success story from the campus since opening its doors to battle chronic homelessness.
• Holistic Wraparound Care: With on-site medical treatment, case management, and steady housing navigation, the facility provided the dignified bridge Justin needed to heal and rebuild.
• Keys in Hand: Today, this veteran finally has the keys to his own safe, permanent home—a fitting homecoming for someone who served our nation.
"No veteran should ever have to sleep on the streets they defended."
