Hollywood Icon Beau Bridges Joins ABC's R.J. Decker as Scott Speedman's Estranged Father

ABC’s acclaimed detective drama R.J. Decker is bringing major Hollywood pedigree to South Florida! Three-time Emmy and Golden Globe winner Beau Bridges steps into the series in a key recurring role as Reggie Decker, the estranged father of lead investigator R.J. Decker (Scott Speedman).

Inspired by Carl Hiaasen’s bestselling novel Double Whammy, the show delves deeper into Decker's fractured past:

• Generational Tension: Reggie's arrival peels back the emotional layers of R.J.'s cynical exterior, answering long-held questions about the former newspaper photographer’s roots and family baggage.

• Star Chemistry: Pitting acting royalty Beau Bridges against Scott Speedman injects raw emotion into the sun-soaked, offbeat South Florida noir.

• Expanding the Mystery: As cases heat up across the Everglades and Miami, family secrets threaten to complicate Decker’s high-stakes PI work more than any criminal ever could.

Catch the confrontation unfold on ABC and streaming next day on Hulu!
